Experience included office and project manager skills with

company specializing in commissioned art for hospitals and

healthcare  facilities. Work involved research, coordinating

with artists, framers and materials vendors, installation of work

and budgeting for art. Work also included redesign of company

website, general graphic design and PowerPoint presentations.

 

Talbots Inc.- Sales Associate                                                                4/2006- 2/2007

Responsibilities included: Customer sales in a retail clothing

setting and Point of Sale computer platform. Gained

insight into corporate operations.

 

Big Picture Framing- Designer and Assistant Manager                  3/2005-3/2006 

Worked with customers designing and selecting mats and

frames for artwork. Framing, selling and managerial skills

acquired. Framing experience includes mat cutting, sew downs,

shadow boxes, beveled accents etc.

 

Cambridge Artists Cooperative- Founding member of                      Until 2002

successful retail crafts gallery opened in 1988. Involved

as contributing artist and establishment of gallery operations.

Gained retail experience with customers and helped create

policy and procedure documents.

 

Paperdimensions.com- Established crafts business in 1988.         

Studio production and sale of handmade paper products,

including ornaments, cards, frames, lighting and wall pieces to

galleries and customers via retail and wholesale shows. Several

years experience exporting work to Japanese gift company. Art

work purchased for public venues including hospitals, medical

facilities and restaurants.  Publicity campaigns led to inclusion of

artwork in many published books, including Arnold Grummer’s

“Complete Guide to Paper Casting”. Marketing experience with

Access for product and customer database, PowerPoint and

Word for communication documents. Utilization of NetMailer for

e-mail campaigns. FrontPage, Photoshop for web site and Quark

sanitation, facilities and housekeeping, concierge services,

budgeting, sales and marketing, human resources, banquets,

event management; followed by 4 week internship with area
